(Provided to satisfy the Washington My Health My Data Act and comparable state health-data laws.)
This notice applies to consumer health data — information you provide that relates to your child's physical or mental health condition, including diagnoses, medications, and safety concerns such as self-harm.
We collect consumer health data only when you choose to enter it, and only to: personalize the AI parenting guidance we provide to you, maintain your family context across sessions, and surface patterns over time. We collect no more than is necessary for these purposes.
The first time you enter a diagnosis or medication, we present a separate, standalone consent screen explaining that you are entering health-related information and asking for your affirmative, opt-in consent. We do not store any consumer health data unless you consent. Your consent is recorded with a version and timestamp. This consent is separate from, and not bundled with, your acceptance of our Terms of Service.
If you decline, you may continue using Steadier — you simply will not be able to store diagnoses or medications, and those fields remain unused. The rest of the Service works normally.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing privacy@steadier.ai or by deleting the relevant data or your account in the app. On withdrawal, we stop processing your consumer health data going forward. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already occurred.
We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it for advertising or with any third party for that third party's own purposes. It is processed only by the service providers listed in Section 6, solely to provide the Service to you. The only exception is sharing you explicitly direct: if you connect your child's own provider under Section 6.1, that provider receives progress summaries for the child you selected — with your separate, opt-in consent, revocable at any time. Because we do not sell consumer health data, no separate sale "authorization" is required.
Your consumer health data is stored in Supabase (AWS, U.S.) and is included in the context sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your guidance. Both act as processors under confidentiality and security obligations. See Section 6. Additionally, if you choose to connect your child's provider (Section 6.1), that provider receives the summary categories described there for the child you selected — under your explicit, revocable consent.
You may, at any time: confirm whether we are collecting it, access it (export on request via privacy@steadier.ai), delete it (in-app, immediate and irreversible), and withdraw consent (Section B.5). We honor these rights for all users.
Consumer health data is protected by the safeguards in Section 8 (TLS in transit, encryption at rest, per-user Row-Level Security). Questions about this notice: privacy@steadier.ai.
